Many Sunday papers this week had a coupon for a free cat toy with the purchase of any three Del Monte pet products. Del Monte makes 9Lives and Pounce. With the coupon, you can pick a toy valued at up to $2. If you didn't get the coupon, you can "purchase" them online (actually you pay for the labor and shipping) via sites such as The Coupon Master. There are so many offers out there, I'm not even going to post links. Just Google the name of the mag you're interested in and the words "free trial." I'm not aware of any outright fraudulent subscription services, but some are definitely very slow (like 8 to 12 weeks) in getting out your first issue.
